Subjects Taught

I received my B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Alabama in 1980. I continued to take graduate courses throughout my career as a tenured teacher.  I received extensive training in Reading Recovery during the 1998-2002 school years and was a certified Reading Recovery teacher for four years. I am highly qualified to teach Pre-K-3rd grade and reading in grades Pre-k -12th.  I will always seek to improve my education by taking professional development classes and collaborationg with my teaching peers.  My favorite grade is Pre-K.  It brings happiness to my life to be able to work with such awesome children and their families.

I have taught in the Mobile County Public School System for thirty-seven years.  I began teaching in 3rd grade for my first two years.  After that, I asked to move to Kindergarten and I knew I had found my home.  I was chosen to be a Reading Recovery teacher for four years, when I realized that  Pre-K was where I needed to stay.  I am looking forward to my 14th wonderful year at Fonde!  I can't wait to get to know my new students and their families!

My name is Marin Muncaster.   I will have been married for 27 years, this December, to my husband Charles.  I have two wonderful children. Their names are Emily and Charlie.  Emily is currently a server at The Nobel South restaurant in downtown Mobile.  She and Josh are happily awaiting their first child, Millie, in December!  Yes, I am going to be a grandmother!  Charlie lives in Nashville, Tennessee and is in a band called Muscadine Bloodline.  He travels and entertains all over the south.   I have four beautiful step-daughters, Ashley, Amy, Whitney and Courtney.  Whitney is married to my son-in-law, Cory. (They are the proud parents of  Hayden, Landon, and Brooklyn.)   Amy lives in Florida with her husband Andre. (They are the proud parents of Gabriel!)  Ashley is married to Mark and lives in Atlanta, Ga.  Courtney and her fiance, Tim, live and work in Huntsville, Al.    I have a cat named Annie and a dog named Lily.  Currently my granddog, Cooper, is also living with us.  I have lived in Mobile most of my life.  I love Auburn football,  spending time with my husband, reading, watching movies and listening to my children sing.   I am anxiously awating the arrival of my granddaughter, Millie.  I have been blessed with a wonderful family and I  can't wait for it to grow in the years to come.
