Bio

My name is Kimberly Washington. I am the Writing Teacher to third-fifth grades at Fonde Elementary School. I have been married to Lamar Washington for thirteen years. I have two sets of children which consist of five boys. My oldest son Ivan is a sophomore in college at Bishop State Community College. My next to the oldest son Isaiah attends AIDT for training in welding.  Ian is my baby son from my first set of children; he is a sophomore at Murphy. My last two sons are Kimar and Armar. They are both two years old, but they are ten months apart.  Both of them attend daycare.  However, Kimar is about to attend a preschool for three year olds very soon.

As a child, I attended WH Council Elementary school before it became a magnet school, Palmer Pillans Middle School, and John L. Leflore High School.  My family believes in graduating from Bishop State Community College before entering a university.  Therefore, I went to Bishop State Community College where I was Ms. Sophomore before I graduated.  Next, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Education at University of South Alabama before I came to.  I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades.  I have only taught third and fourth grades at Fonde.

I am really excited for this new school year. I am extra excited about the year round school that Fonde trying this year.  I am looking forward to teaching many wonderful students daily.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching football, and shopping.  Auburn University is my favorite football team. My family loves to watch football games together. Other than watching football, my family spends a lot of time together on Sundays and on holidays at my grandmother’s house. I take pride in building a family with all of my students.  If your child has me, I am glad to have him/her.
